"you don't have to do much" - Who are you to know??? You talked like she earned 20M just for one show appearance, when in fact it's a full commitment for the whole season which starts from September/Oct for the auditions til the finale in late May. 

 

In fact, she might earn 15M just from her upcoming Australia shows alone. She also reported being paid up to 5M just for a 15-min show at AFL last month. 

 

She also sold her catalogues for 250M. If she just put that money into savings (ofc no rich person would do that!), she could earn 15M a year just from interest.

 

Katy also has many successful business ventures, including a non-alcoholic drink startup

Of course, I didn't mean anything bad. In terms of participating and organizing a world tour, it is much more difficult in terms of energy and resources than participating in a TV show.
