Jelly Roll Scores First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With 'Beautifully Broken'

Plus: Rod Wave, GloRilla and BigXthaPlug debut in top 10, while Charli XCX's "Brat" surges after "completely different" deluxe reissue.

Jelly Roll racks up his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart as Beautifully Broken bows atop the list dated Oct. 26. The set enters with 161,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 17, according to Luminate – the artist's best week ever by units. The set's first week was largely driven by album sales – 114,000 – likewise marking Jelly Roll's largest sales week yet. The album also opens at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart.

Beautifully Broken marks Jelly Roll's second top 10-charting effort on the Billboard 200, following the No. 3-peaking Whitsitt Chapel in 2023.

Beautifully Broken additionally achieves the third-largest week, by units, for any country album in 2024, following the debut frames of Beyoncé and Post Malone's premiere country sets. In total, Jelly Roll scores the fifth country album to lead the all-genre Billboard 200 in 2024 – the most in a year since 2014, when there were also five. (Country albums are defined as those that are eligible for, or have charted on, Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.)

Elsewhere in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, Rod Wave secures his seventh consecutive top 10 – the entirety of his charting efforts – as Last Lap debuts at No. 2, Charli XCX's Brat bounds 14-3 (matching its debut and peak rank) after a deluxe reissue, GloRilla lands her first top 10 with the No. 5 bow of Glorious, and BigXthaPlug notches his first top 10 with the No. 8 arrival of Take Care.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 26, 2024-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard's website on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' Tends to 15th Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

The song becomes one of only six ever to lead for at least that long.

Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" rounds up a 15th round at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song, which became the singer-songwriter's first Hot 100 leader in July, extends 2024's longest reign. It also ties Harry Styles' 2022 smash "As It Was" for the second-longest reign this decade; Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" — like "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," a country-pop crossover hit — dominated for 16 weeks in 2023.

Over the Hot 100's entire 66-year history, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" becomes one of just six hits to have led for at least 16 weeks.

"A Bar Song (Tipsy)" additionally extends the longest No. 1 run of 2024 on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart, adding a 19th week in the top spot.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Oct. 26, 2024) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Oct. 22). For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both X, and Instagram.

Somebody named Jelly Roll is clearing 160K, meanwhile pop royalty Katy Perry can't clear 50k? What has this world come to!
