Yeah whenever I see old vids of her playing piano or singing live or talking about art and stuff I get sad. The industry killed her love of music

If I could wish one thing as a Britney fan that would be that creating music had continued to be her outlet to deal with the hardships of life. And not for selfish reasons but because she's damn good at it. The songs could stay unreleased for all I care.

Daily reminder that her only global hit ballad was a song she wrote and composed on the piano with the help of just one other person who just happened to be her backup singer at the time. Imagine the greatness she would have given us had her passion not be destroyed.

She is a genuinely good person. Her family really failed her.

This, her musical talent is so underrated and glossed over. "Everytime" holds up as a genuinely great pop ballad that's heartbreaking without being melodramatic (which is very hard to do), and it was a huge hit and has had amazing placements in film and tv since like Spring Breakers. If she was a man, that song alone would mean that she's a legit songwriter in the industry and media's eyes. But instead any discussion of her career ignores that and paints her as just a vocalist.

Very few are aware that Britney found inspiration in Natalie Imbruglia. Broken Heart was the closest the label allowed her to walk towards that direction, Last To Know is also incredible (Shania's co-credit really shines).

Really makes you wonder what would it be if Britney had Avril's team (immense creative input, label gave Avril two years to make Let Go).

Is she still signed to an iteration of Sony?

Why would she be after all the albums she gave them?

If not, she's in a powerful bargaining position to control her artistic freedom by only agreeing to sign to a label who upfront contractually agrees to the level of freedom she personally wants over the writing, recording and instrumentation over her work!

She could instruct a good lawyer to hold firm, to ensure he negotiates these contractual caveats for her!

She could dust of her old home recordings of her compositions and make an album from them with the correct, trusted individual to schedule and oversee the project.

Being given the freedom to work on her own compositions may revitalize her passion for music and she has a guaranteed fanbase who would be extremely supportive and send the sales of the album in to the stratosphere.

How hard can it be for her to find a lawyer who won't cheat her and will stoically fight her corner for her with regard to contract negations etc.

Britney is and has always been an incredible artist. She has such a great ear and knows what her strengths are. I know she's more known for her dance songs but I do love her ballads as well. I also think it's incredible we didn't know what Everytime was really about for so long. She let her art speak for itself and it connected with so many people.

Ugh I just love Britney so much. She is so underrated as an artist. People loved to say she couldn't sing or didn't write or blah blah blah but those people really missed out on what made her so unique and powerful.

There was this mystery about Britney's songwriting where she got to show such a personal side of herself through her ballads.

Everytime

Someday

Just Yesterday

All That She Wants

All great songs. I can only hope she still remembers that art and music can heal so much pain.

Her talent lost after In the Zone era.

She had such a passion and drive in her early days, which completely eroded after her breakdown in 2007.

I think she had the potential to grow in an interesting artist under different circumstances.
