Breathe On Moi Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I do iron work clothes yes, just another mundane thing that reminds me we're all just hamsters on a wheel.
loveisdead9582 Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I only iron if I have to. If I just want wrinkle free I put the item(s) in the dryer with a damp microfiber towel and run it for about 15/20. The residual moisture from the cloth usually helps get rid of any wrinkles. I hang most of my stuff though so it doesn't really get wrinkly.
Paparazzaid Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I do iron my clothes all the time I'd judge HARD someone if I go on a date with them and their clothes are too wrinkly 1
John Slayne Posted October 19 Posted October 19 i iron nothing but then again i normally don't wear formal shirts so i feel like there is just no need. if i had to wear a suit to work every day i would probably care about wrinkling more
HRHCOLLECTION Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I steam everything I put on because I refuse to look crusty in public

Burn Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Yes I iron my clothes. I tend to just do it once a week. I usually plan ahead what I'm gonna wear for each day of the forthcoming week and iron the batch so I don't have to get the iron out every day. 1
LegaMyth Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I immediately hang up or fold my clothes after being in the dryer. That prevents them from wrinkling up.

Dekkan Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I stopped during lockdown, never looked back and I no longer own an iron anymore. I only wear shirts that don't wrinkle, and I couldn't care less about the rest.
Hobbes Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Literally only if it's formal wear or there's a significant crease. Ain't nobody got time to iron t-shirts. I also live in the UK where hanging clothes to dry either on the line or on a horse is the norm. It doesn't leave our clothes as wrinkled as using a drier does.
Elementary Posted October 22 Posted October 22 If I ever had a job in which the clothes I must wear need to be ironed in order to "look good" I would quit at the second. I hope that boomer mentality of telling people how and where they should work fades away soon.
Daddy Posted October 22 Posted October 22 You don't have to iron anything if you're really shake it out well before hanging it up to dry. Never had wrinkled t-shirts or jeans ever. Don't know if it works on fancy shirts though, my work don't require such attire.

You'd be surprised how well this works, it's so quick and it saves a lot of time on ironing. I only use a steamer for the occasional stubborn wrinkles that form when folding and storing some clothes and very rarely iron formal shirts/trousers.
Sergi91 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I used to iron but transition to a steamer after working at Ted Baker…
