No baby. I'm only saying that that doc could have waited. She was very much still recovering. She could have made a doc when she was fully sober like she is now. Think of all the recovering addicts that saw her doc and thought California Sober was the way to go and relapsed to hard drugs just like her? Her messaging was very damaging even if she was just talking about her own approach at the time. Her words still hold meaning and have influence. Full stop. I'm leaving it at that.

No one should look at what a recovering addict who just overdosed on heroin, who was clearly figuring life out, is doing and emulate that. That is on them. Everyone is responsible for their own actions.

Also it is her right to do the documentary when she wants. There were many rumors and false narratives on her overdose, it was the most googled search in 2018 and made international headlines, and TMZ and other media were profiting off HER OWN TRAUMA, she is allowed to lay everything to rest and share her story from her own perspective.

And trust me, she left out many things and only gave the bare minimum to help you understand her journey, because hardcore fans know the role her former toxic management team as well as  relationship fallouts played in her relapse, but she did not even go there because she wanted to take accountability for all her choices. She even included someone (Dani Vitale, who Demi attended her birthday party the night of the overdose and who many of the fandom was blaming), SIMPLY to clear her name and remove anyone from blaming her for Demi's overdose.

Why are we discussing a 2021 documentary and probably one of the most brutally honest celebrity documentaries to exist?

No, her documentaries had only expanded her story and what happened since the last one, giving updates to the fans.

But her latest film is NOT an autobiographical documentary. it is an intellectual and historical exploration of child stardom

regardless, she can do whatever she wants with her films/documentaries. she is a world renowned singer and celebrity who CLEARLY generates so much conversation and interest. her documentaries are always #1  and some of the most watched celebrity documentaries on the streaming apps they are on. even Child Star, which is not about her life, went #1 on Hulu's most watched projects. it's not her fault that her life is actually interesting and filled with REAL issues, unlike half the celebrities who make documentaries

you think this is possible? realistically?

Yes. Let your team deal with the rest unless it's something big affecting me. If I wanted to stay in contact with close friends and family, I'd get another phone. I wouldn't respond to any theories or anything like that.

I don't think it would work for someone who is in spotlight and behind cameras all the time. But it's just my opinion.

I think it does in my opinion. :gaycat4:

Celebs that aren't pristine and have sharp tongues often get into trouble for it. Why isn't she allowed to be herself? Glad she found healing and is in a better place now.

some of y'all and just social media in general are gross in the way u don't care how what you spread online affects someone and then switch up when actually speaking to people in real life. Everyone always takes the hate too far with Demi, y'all really need to just leave her alone. She's allowed to discuss anything about her life that she wants.

The thing I've realized as I've gotten older is that these celebrities that ATRL consistently make fun of even when these people are down just says more about the ATRL members than it does about the celebrities. Hell, some people on here compare Taylor Swift to Adolf Hitler yet get upset when someone drags them and they call it a "personal attack"

Demi (and Liam) might have said problematic things but neither of them deserve(d) death.

Either be nice, or don't post. Frankly, I'm learning to unlearn all the things I learned from this site just so I can be a nice person online again

The funny thing is the same stans of her preaching about online kindness here are the same ones who take their misery out on Selena and others :rip:

I thought someone bumped a thread from a few months ago

she's constantly saying the same things constantly.

She helping herself and other people too! She's advocating so much for mental health and you all just continue to be ignorant about it.

She promoted being California Sober (drinking alcohol and smoking pot) after overdosing and getting blind spots in her vision. Also she went back to her abuser/ drug dealer after overdosing to get high and hook up. The whole thing is very very disturbing and chilled me to my core. She also had a room that was supposed to look like a LSD trip.

this is why i can't take her seriously she's been going at this for ages. it's obvious she doesn't want to stop being a 365 party girl. she's a pick me girl, who wants to do whatever she wants and take no responsibility for her actions and then demands everyone to victimize her and pity her.

like sorry girl, get professional help and counseling. work through your trauma. i was a major fan back in unbroken days or whatever the album was called and always felt for her but then she made it very clear and loud who she wants and the priorities she has.

i won't hate on the girl but don't ask me to care for her. cry all you want but you made your bed and it's time you take that into accountability

I hope Demetria keeps a good therapist because I don't think that's the first time that she had suicidal ideation at all. She needs therapy with a focus on trauma, not one of those Hollywood therapists or just AA. The root of all her issues is so much deeper than online trolls.

Given everything that's happened recently you'd think people in this thread would be kinder when it comes to peoples mental health problems.

It's a Shame being nice only matters when something fatal happens ay.

Although I don't agree with any celebrity receiving excessive hate online, I know for a fact that the two vocal Demi fans in this thread wouldn't extend the same kindness when it came to Selena Gomez, another celebrity who's been vocal about her own mental health issues. You can't preach this whole "be kind" shtick when you're guilty of doing the exact same thing with other celebrities.

Yeah I think she's insufferable.

No, I don't think she deserves this.

Both things can coexist.

People are no fun though, why can't they just drag her in private? People who go say **** to celebrities on their insta comments are so low life smh

im sorry, but she just has that thing that makes people hate her. I'm not talking about sending death threats or anything, but she gives off this vibe that's really annoying. It's hard to explain, she just gives me major ick vibes

I understand. I definitely think a lot of things haven't been handled well by her and her team, ever since 2011. It's such a complicated issue we could write essays about it.

The OP link is not working. Did she say this was because of FroyoGate?
