Popular Post hypnodemiluv Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 (edited) Revealed during J Balvin documentary 'A great day with J Balvin' Demi reveals with tears she wanted to end her life... ATRL and others - Demi hate train needs to stop. She doesn't deserve this! Nobody deserves... Edited October 19 by hypnodemiluv typo 20 1
Popular Post ChooseyLover Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 She doesn't say it's because of the hate online in this clip. But either way, I remember ATRL was ridiculously rude and aggressive towards her during the froyo episode (and I bet the rest of the Internet was too). I broke my ATRL hiatus to come here and stand by her. 18 1 1 2
Popular Post ariananext Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 Stans are hypocrites talking about mental health 24/7 but they don't think twice before harassing celebrities they don't like and following mass hate trains. And most times said people are not exactly monsters. 66 13 2
Princess Aurora Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Jesus Christ, this is why celebrities shouldn't look at the comments on social media and only their teams would be allowed. If I were famous, I'd never google myself or look at any social media posts about me 6
Popular Post SharGaga Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 (edited) I have empathy for her but I don't understand why the the only time I hear about her is when she's in a doc talking about how hard her life is. Not all of us have the luxury to air our struggles in a doc every year. She said a lot of damaging things in her DWTD doc promoting drug use after overdosing. I've been turned off by her ever since. She has since backtracked but that only proves she has to figure stuff out first before airing it all in a doc every single year. I can't imagine Gaga doing a doc every year about her struggles. She's been very open about her struggles but she knows where to draw the line. Some things are better left unsaid. Especially for someone like Demi that has a lot of figuring out to do before becoming a spokesperson for anything. She went on a whole press tour talking about being bipolar but later admitted that she was misdiagnosed. She needs to take time and figure stuff out before talking about these things. Popular Post Bussea Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 (edited) You would think after what happened to Liam and other celebrities in the past, the tone of this thread would be very much different. some of you desperately need a reality check and realize that these people are human beings and not just NPCs for you to treat however you want because you're miserable in your own life and need to take it out on someone you don't know. can demi be annoying from time to time? yes. but so are many of you Edited October 19 by Bussea 54 9
Saint James Posted October 19 Posted October 19 we haven't even hated on her in years. most of her threads are flops now 4 6 4

Popular Post naval23 Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 "Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem" Damn 25
Popular Post glitch Posted October 19 Popular Post Posted October 19 I think it's important to distinguish between the internet making jokes about people and sending them hate. Stuff like people laughing at Demi communicating with ghosts or getting mad a frozen yoghurt shop are fair game in my opinion. You're a public figure, if you do or say questionable things then don't expect everyone to ignore it. The line should be making comments about people's appearances and sending them abuse, death threats, mocking things like suicide attempts etc. All that said she seems to be doing much better recently than she was in the past, I hope those darker days are behind her 23 1
chosensparkles Posted October 19 Posted October 19 I wish her the best but it's hard to root for her when her whole persona is based on being problematic and rude and then play victim 1 11 1 5

She promoted being California Sober (drinking alcohol and smoking pot) after overdosing and getting blind spots in her vision. Also she went back to her abuser/ drug dealer after overdosing to get high and hook up. The whole thing is very very disturbing and chilled me to my core. She also had a room that was supposed to look like a LSD trip. Edited October 19 by SharGaga 3 1

Digitalism Posted October 19 Posted October 19 (edited) Demi is one of the people that can be hated on here without getting any warnings. But then the same people will be on the Liam thread calling people insensitive. We all know yall have no morals. Edited October 19 by Digitalism 9

She went on a whole press tour talking about being bipolar but admitted later that she was misdiagnosed. She needs to take time and figure stuff out before taking about these things. I disagree, her documentaries spread a lot of awareness on eating disorders, substance abuse, mental health/depression/bipolar disorder. BTW she still has bipolar, she recently said she is on bipolar medication again. Life's journey is not linear, especially in terms of mental health. I guess she was diagnosed with ADHD and taken off bipolar medications, only to be re-diagnosed with it. Same thing for her attempt at being California Sober. Also Demi's last documentary is about child stardom, NOT Demi's life. It explores the history of child stardom and interviews with former child stars. It led to a bill being passed in California protecting young child stars on social media. Anyway, I think Demi was referencing early in her career here, and I don't think it's relating to any hate received. She has severe depression already. Either way Demi deserves nothing but love and support for her talent, ADVOCACY WORK, and amazing songs. Also, to say Demi is only known for her story, when she has several songs that made her famous and are why she's relevant, from Heart Attack to Cool for the Summer to Sorry Not Sorry to Confident to Give Your Heart A Break to This Is Me.... her entire career revolved around her music and her vocal ability, she just happens to also advocate for mental health using her personal life experiences and being authentic and honest unlike 99% of celebrities in Hollywood. 3 14

She also had a room that was supposed to look like a LSD trip. And that was her personal life choices and journey, in 2021. She specified that is WHERE SHE IS AT, not where she thinks everyone with substance abuse should be at. Quite the contrary, she is saying it's something she is exploring and that it may not work (which it ended up not working). And you also know very well that she relapsed after her overdose because she had complicated rape trauma involved with that incident. And she is allowed to relapse, again substance abuse is a disease and her journey being non-linear with her recovery is none of your business. She relapsed around the time she was being mass spammed and harassed by social media with needle and spoon emojis. The point is, her sobriety is for her. It is not for your approval or your excessive judgment and commentary. If you are a decent person, you'd just have some empathy and respect her journey from afar. 9 2
