I wonder if this tragedy will bring a reunion forward. I'm sure they'll do a respectful tribute at some point, but would it bring them together for new material?

 

I don't know much about One Direction's lore…other than the fact that Zayn left. But I also saw a TikTok, only like a week ago, of Max Balegdeh lip-syncing to a soundbite of Liam telling a story about a physical altercation with Zayn.

 

Did Zane leave because of Liam? And if so, would that mean they'd possibly reunite after Harry's next album?

 

Thats not something I'm hopeful for — again, don't know anything about them. But I'm just curious about their lore, and why they broke up. Or did Zayn have beef with Harry or Louis or something, so it's still completely off the cards?

 

Apparently Harry was surprise-releasing tomorrow, but that's definitely cancelled now.

Firstly *Zayn, and secondly I don't think it's happening bar a tribute performance. Harry has a very successful solo career and you can ask the former 1D stans about their messy interpersonal relations.

 

Tbh I wouldn't really want a 4-piece reunion single this soon, it's a bit disrespectful IMO.

1. Yah, I caught that and amended it, but it only adds to the point that I don't know them well.

 

2. That was the whole point of my comment 😭 I was trying to ask what the lore was on their messy interpersonal relations. I can't even spell their names, let alone know who fought who over what.

 

Also I'm not manifesting it/"willing it" into existence. I literally don't follow any of their careers. I'm just curious about how they'll respond to it as a group, and how they'll come together given their extensive history, (of which I know nothing about).

There are so many variables that would lead someone to trying drugs let alone relying on them. It's like saying someone "chooses" to go back to an environment with domestic violence. It's a very limited, ignorant world view

This is kinda a cop out but like I think with every band that splits up like that there has to have been some general messiness behind the scenes  that being said I think Zayn wanted out because no creative control, and Harry allegedly really wanted to go solo. There was a pretty good video on their breakup I watched on YT that I somehow can't find now

I don't know what's shocked me more, this passing or some of the comments in this thread. I'll be disappointed if there isn't a mass banning happening soon because some of you should be forced to take that **** to Twitter. 
 

OP: This is tragic news. You could see that he had been struggling and it's a shame he wasn't able to get the help he needed.

I can't get this off my mind. I love Girls Aloud and to think of how Cheryl has had to break the news to her son, who will now grow up without a father, is brutal. Her charity has a centre in Newcastle that's supposed to provide opportunities and keep young people away from drugs after she experienced friends from her teenage years dying from overdoses. Her brother also suffers from addiction but won't accept help from her. This really is the nightmare scenario for her.

 

Also for Liam's family. By all accounts he had excellent parents and his sisters have also been very supportive. Liam's parents and sisters are very close with Cheryl and Bear, so at least we know they will be able to support him as he grows up and give him all the love in the world.

Wasn't he hanging around a concert of one of the One Direction ex-member last week or something, and people said he was doing the most and trying to seek attention to the fans attempting the gig ?

Sounds like an instense episode of withdrawal symptoms. 

 

Substance Addictions are scary af. I know someone who is addicted to alcohol and he will literally start shaking and will die if he doesn't drink alcohol every couple hours. He is at a clinic now to get better. Scary stuff.

I alway know this trend of holding people responsible for there actions on such a public way would lead to this one day. The internet believes they have a right to judge and hang people at will and has no mercy. At the end of the day these people are basic humans, that hurt. And no amount of money can heal those hurts. But we as the internet, feel it's our right to destroy and cancel people since we're "ALL PERFECT". 

 

All these people owe any of us is good music, that's the reason we became fans, not because they where activists or perfect people. Now we have fans demanding and protesting all over the internet.

 

Ask for a refund and keep it moving. You dont like someone change the station but dont go out of your way to destroy them on the way out.

That wasn't my intention at all. I was more curious about how the group would come together in the future, and from the little information I do know, I thought Liam & Zayn's relationship contributed to the breakup. I was wondering how their response would play out if the whole world knows they weren't on good terms.

 

But, I'll take a spoonful of my own medicine, RE: "time and place."
