Cassie plots music comeback following Diddy settlement

Cassie is quietly working on reviving her music career after it was stalled by her ex-boyfriend and alleged abuser Sean 'Diddy' Combs for more than two decades.

Disgraced rapper Combs, 54, is currently behind bars after he was charged with a host of sex trafficking and racketeering offenses following his September 16 arrest. As it stands, he will remain in prison ahead of his May 2025 trial.

Me & U singer Cassie, 38, played a pivotal role in Combs' downfall after she accused him of repeated physical abuse and rape in a bombshell $30million lawsuit last November.

DailyMail.com this week unearthed a disturbing cache of photographs showing her with what appear to be bruises on her forehead and a black eye back in 2013, three years before Diddy abused her in a hotel lobby.

She is now turning her attention to a musical comeback, with the mother-of-two recently registering a new song and weighing up whether to drop tracks from her vault of unreleased music.

'Cassie is considering making a comeback to music now that Diddy is behind bars and some of the executives who were his lackeys are resigning,' a source exclusively told DailyMail.com.

'She couldn't have imagined her career would have been stalled in the way it was when her first album came out, but she has so many unreleased records that she wants to release if the timing and business is right.'

They added: 'Her collaborators have been informed of this, so the royalty splits have been agreed.'

The revelation comes after Cassie, real name Cassie Ventura, made amendments to a track titled Into It in May this year, which she had initially registered with Universal Music back in 2010.

More recently in August, she registered a new song, Midnight Hour, with the record label.

She was never the most... talented... but she had a couple of bops on her debut. Me & U and Long Way to Go still slap.

YES. A major Cassie comeback would be really cute. I'm definitely seated.

The DailyFail is probably just using her for clickbait as they have in recent weeks. The Into It track they're talking about is a random Long Way 2 Go remix from ages ago, I think the Midnight Hour title has also been registered for a while and I doubt it's a new track those databases are a mess :skull:

I wouldn't be surprised if she releases new stuff eventually as she's always recording music but last year shortly after the lawsuit there were reports she was plotting a music comeback and a tour (which was obviously farfetched) and none of that materialized so. I doubt she'll do anything until after that demon's trial is over sadly

All of the random non album tracks she released were so good! Simple Things, Teach Me, Don't Let Go. Love A Loser and Don't Play It Safe are great as well. She has so many hidden gem tracks In her career. She should have been bigger. Disgusting what he did to her

This Queen will forever be famous for the justice that's about to be served but hmm.. I always found her kind of "monotone" as a singer. I'm trying to be nice here. 😂

Still love these bops

It was criminal that Electro Love and the album around King of Hearts era never materialised. Here for whatever sort of comeback makes her happy. Cassie deserves the world.

Not even kidding when I say she has a good discography and is very capable of having a great project and I will remain perched.

Cassie is one of the most underrated when it comes to unreleased music. She has so many incredible tracks just collecting dust on YouTube (her fan made 2018 album cannot remember the name and Electro Love albums are amazing)

Of course, taking it with a grain of salt but would love to see her put out a body of work (or like ten haha).

We were robbed of Don't Play It Safe album era.
