All I'm saying is that neutral actions deserve neutral responses. And in the case of Taylor this donation is especially neutral because it actually benefits her as a public figure. Is that hating on her? I don't think so

Taylor Swift doesn't literally have a billion dollars in her bank account. $5M to charity is in fact a lot, nothing she does will ever be enough for some of you all. 

Also, it's not like this is the only thing she has done.  Hasn't she given ~15M across her tour stops this year, plus I remember 1 million to tornado relief in TN last year, and then to the victims of that shooting in Kansas City earlier this year.  And these are only the ones that we know about because other people have publicized them.  
 

Like, I'm all for a conversation on wealth inequality, but LARPing as a socialist to release some hatred on this women is a weird behavior.

Yes, she has always been quite generous. I know she's not a perfect person (who is though really?) but I do get the sense that she knows she is incredibly fortunate and finds ways to contribute to causes that need it badly.

And that's not including all the people who fall into the high "hundreds-of-millions" net worths.
