Deserves DIAMOND.

The bop of all bops.

Arguably the best solo debut bop of all time.

And? As much as I love Whitney. No one can touch Chaka's original. The disco, the funk, the warmth of the bass and all of the colours of Chaka's voice combined with the smooth strings is inimitable.

EDIT: Chaka's physical sales aren't certified or included in the certification. It's digital only - thus possible the song was eligible for physical sales but never certified. Considering Whitney's version was a single on the bestselling soundtrack  and best selling female album of all time…there isn't a huge difference in certified units.

Chaka's certified units: 900,000

- Gold (US: 500,000 / UK: 400,000)

Whitney's certified units: 1,235,000

- Platinum (US: 1M)

- Gold (Australia: 35,000)

- Silver (UK: 200,000)

That's it!?

I dont mean that as shade, just geniune surprise. This is legit one of the best songs ever made. I like the Whitney version, but Chaka's rendition is flawless. :worship2:
