Katamari Posted October 7 Posted October 7 15 minutes ago, Beyonnaise said: As we know there's only a handful of artists that can sell out a full football stadium tour (Taylor, Beyonce, Ed, Harry if he attempted it.) I don't know why artists on the tier slightly below that don't do mixed tours with a few stadium dates in big metro areas and mostly arenas in mid-sized markets. I know logistically a stadium tour and arena tour have different stages etc, but audience size-wise it seems like it would be the smarter option for quite a few artists on that tier (Kendrick, Drake, Rihanna, Gaga, Bieber, Ariana, Billie, Olivia, probably soon Sabrina and Chappell, etc). MLB stadiums are closer to the arena size capacity level, but they could help fill in the gaps in areas where the artist can't fill a full football stadium. Otherwise I'm not sure any of those listed in my last graf is going to ascend to the top full stadium tour sellout tier in the coming years. Rooting for Kendrick to sell out btw, this is just a passing thought I've had for a while when the question of whether an artist can do stadium tours is raised. if morgan and luke combs can have all stadium tours then i don't see why he cant he could be doing both NFL and baseball tho 1
ariesgroove Posted October 7 Posted October 7 i think kendrick's reached stadium status tbh, hope his dates do well
PYT Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) It's a good decision! He's doing the Super Bowl which will get him exposure and besides that he already headlined Coachella in 2017... Super Bowl > Tour >>>>> Coachella Edited October 7 by PYT
Puttanesca Posted October 7 Posted October 7 The tainted first page. ANYWAYS I'd love to see him on tour
