AvadaKedavra Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) As everyone knows, Miley's a total shapeshifter-chameleon, always trying out new genres and reinventing herself—kind of like a Petite-Mini-Madonna She's probably working on her next album right now....... Her last two albums did wonders for her career, helping her turn things around after some rough patches-backlash-bad reputation She's won back the public goodwill and is now considered a full-on icon-loved by everyone Even inspiring new gens like Sabrina-Chappell What would be the best career path for her? What Sonic direction do you think Miley should take for her next album? ELECTRONIC/SYNTHPOP/DISCO/CLUB/HYPERPOP/RECORD COUNTRY/FOLK/AMERICANA/ACOUSTIC/WESTERN RECORD Something like Younger Now but far edgier and with a better selection of producers ROCK/METAL/PUNK/GRUNGE/ALT ROCK ALBUM Back to this Genre but with a new twist. Maybe gothic miley? skater miley? eh? R&B/URBAN/HIP HOP/DANCEHALL/AFROBEATS Miley Something like Bangerz but classier-more polished and without the cultural appropiation Or maybe switch things up with a totally new genre? Bring something new to the table? How you visualize her next era? Thanks for your future comments sistrens Edited October 6 by AvadaKedavra
bopboy Posted October 6 Posted October 6 i feel like her next album will be full of classic power ballads, kind of like an Adele album. i think she's really going to lean in on the prestige/acclaim aspect that she has going for her these days

Maybe when she drops another album in 2027.
mons†er Posted October 6 Posted October 6 She's already done Rock with 'Plastic Hearts' R&B during 'Bangerz' and Country has been heavily drizzled throughout her career with covers and revamps. Pop has always been apart of her foundation as well as country. It's hard to say but I'm pretty sure she's going to stay within that Adult Contemporary space with a few rock influences. I kind of want another 'Plastic Hearts' along with a cover album. (Cher, Janis Joplin and Tina Turner covers.)
visions Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Kinda hope she goes the "Burning Sun" route and goes for the psychedelic soft rock. It would flop but idc. Miley going from successful to flop is just how she does things nn An album full of classic sounding songs like a mix of You, Burning Sun, Lighter, and Taste Of My Own. 1
MaxMartin Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) I would want at least another playful pop era from her (there was a rumor of her working with tove lo so maybe?) it would be a shame to relegate herself into the less interesting adult contemporary genre Edited October 6 by MaxMartin 2
Europe Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Expand on the sound of "night crawling" and make a whole album based on that.
laqqinq Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I think a dancehall album from her would be interesting and intriguing to listen to. Maybe her next album is pop with rock influences/elements or it's synth-pop.
Dolce Vita Posted October 6 Posted October 6 i want river but on steroids from her…fully serve 00s techno rave princess
thatsmydemi Posted October 6 Posted October 6 She should go full rock at least once. Plastic Hearts was still too pop for me to be satisfied.
PerfectCure Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Rock is sooo her genre but 43 minutes ago, visions said: Kinda hope she goes the "Burning Sun" route and goes for the psychedelic soft rock. This would be my ultimate dream. TOMO and Burning Sun are excellent and an album full of those might end up as my ultimate favourite from her. 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Miley peaked artistically when she did pop-rock in my opinion, I would LOVE her to explore this even more !
formlessminutiae Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I think her ESV era was sort of her best, or rather it suited her very well. I could see continuing to be eclectic on each album. She could have a Music/Drowned World Tour era (folktronica)!
WeWon Posted October 12 Posted October 12 She's probably going to mature her current sound and give more classic Miley teas like she's been doing.
Princess Aurora Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I'd imagine something like Tove Lo songs at this point
FlyOnTheWall Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Kinda need a heavy rock album by her but I think that still has time for when she's in her 40s til then she should probably play the pop game a little bit longer and go all in on it as ESV was still a little tame for her standards
HandsInTheAir Posted October 13 Posted October 13 I have a feeling she will go in the direction of Adele-style ballad classics. This direction with a mix of her raspy rocker voice would be perfect.
