While not fully true, Gaga is facing the wrath of comic book/joker 1 fans; even if critics are okay with her/like her performance, the fans don't care. The only thing that could be worse at this point is Star Wars fans

she needs a more stripped down and subtle role. Both this and her HOG role were big swings for your 2nd and 3rd role and neither landed as well as her more grounded performance in ASIB

 

Maybe not a break, but certainly she has to rethink what movie is next

I won't mind that. I hope she devotes all her time to what she's best at..  that is a pop girl and a jazz girl and being a live performer. Even madonna left hollywood after her movies flopped.

I can't at people comparing Gaga to Margot Robbie 

one is an actual actress who is able to portray emotions and morph according to her character, and also that's her full time job so even if there are panned movies, she's already an established Alist actress and will always bounce back.

the other is barely an actress who just wanted to pursue it as her own passion project and has barely done 3 movies out of which two bombed. Like she'll have to work extra hard to convince the industry, the studios and the people that she can bounce back after a panning because she still doesn't have the same footing in the industry as a full time actress.

It's really not the same scenario so some of y'all can stop clowning yourselves.

Hmm but why are people saying HoG is a flop? It was not a huge success due to Covid but it was an ok success commercial-wise. And Gaga was the only thing that got praised in that movie  she also got everything awarded to her except the Oscars.

That's an overreaction, like the negative response to this film. People were disappointed because it didn't follow the tone of the first one and became a musical instead.

But the hatred is blown out of proportion. 

 

As for Gaga, she will be fine. The reviews have praised both Joaquin and Gaga's acting in the film.

I think the issue is about the roles she picks. And well, this one was gonna either be a big success or massive flop, and sadly it was the later.

According to actual Hollywood paychecks and not ATRL KatyCat Witnessed ET, Gaga is the second highest paid actress and thus second most in demand in Hollywood after Margot Robbie. Rest assured her agents are reading scripts every day and she has her pick of projects.
