Taking Grace Randolph seriously is like thinking eating McDonald's for dinner is healthy.  If every actor took a break after a panned movie half of the household names we have wouldn't be active anymore. She also believes Wicked will be a BO wreck because old Cynthia Erivo tweets resurfaced on the internet 5 years ago. Despite Cynthia having a prosperous career since then and the Wicked show sells outs theatres every day.

 

I do think Gaga should (and probably will) concentrate on music for the foreseeable before taking a general break from the entertainment industry to get married and start a family since that's what she wished to do. But there's no harm exploring non Oscar-bait films and smaller roles in the meantime.

I disagree that she'd find it hard to get a role, but I do agree she should take a break from acting and next time potentially go for a smaller scale, maybe supporting role to build up her brand as an actress beyond her singer fame.

Absolutely not, she's almost 40. She needs to strike while there's still some residual ASIB/HOG clout and quickly book another high profile role with a better director. She is a good actress and got good reviews even in this panned film.

I literally seen a ton of people online or just in person expressing that Gaga wasn't even the problem with the film. If anything people seem to have expected alot more of Harley but I'am guessing it was cut for whatever reason? Trailers showed scenes that were definitely not in the film and honestly I was disappointed because I also wanted to see more of her

Gaga will be fine, she's a brand name actor that the general public responds to based off on her film being interesting or not

 

Gaga should continue making drama roles but also try doing some leading acting role in decent budget comedy (that is actually good, not crap unfunny "comedies") to expand her filmography

 

Others mentioned A24 horror film and I am all in for it, but Gaga seems to only aim for Oscar-baity roles

i kinda agree with her. you can't really compare gaga's acting career with other actors because acting isn't her #1 priority, music is. yes actresses like margot had a string of flops but she's also working non stop so something is bound to stick. gaga has only done 3 movies in 7 years. she'll soon be 40 and we all know how ruthless hollywood is to older women

 

i don't even think she'll be interested in doing a movie anytime soon anyway. she's gonna drop lg7, go on a huge tour and start a family

Most bankable where? She did 3 movies. Three. One was a hit (nothing astronomically successful in terms of gross though), one performed moderately well and the latest one is expected to bomb.
