i am fair and can hear criticisms of my favs but this is literally an unhinged and alarmist take beyond belief  I am certain that Gaga can score other big roles QUICKLY if she wanted to. She isn't a movie goer deterrent. She is often praised for being one of the only saving graces of the movie lol. Had Gaga's performance in the film also been terrible then i'd agree but it wasnt

I'd love a Gaga horror movie but let's face it she wants to win an acting Oscar and the oscars almost always snub horror. She needs to do Drama's and or stuff that's fun and out of the box. HOG would have been a good choice if it hadn't sucked, more stuff like that.

Not true. Most major acting stars do not do movies often aside from Nicole Kidman.

 

Most actors worth over $250M only do movies once every 2-3 years (Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie etc)

she's actually been perfect with her role choices, but the scripts and direction let her down with FAD and HOG. that's just it, it will be a slam dunk once she gets a solid script and someone who knows how to utilize all her prowess. alfonso cuaron, chris nolan, david fincher where are you...

Gaga in a smaller indie drama which will be one of the biggest indies of the year is just begging to happen. She can make Liddos go to the movies to see her performance and she still has that novelty in her brand when it comes to movies that makes you interested to watch her in a way other actresses don't have. Her name attached to a project generates hype so I think if A24 cast her as a lead in a movie and it doesn't suck it will not only have critical acclaim but also the box office.

JFAD flopped but she's getting praise for her performance so she'll be fine. if anything she should accept more offers like at least 1 movie per year (1 main role in a high budget movie with other a listers, then some supporting roles would be great tbh). just cancel jazz&piano and all the other vegas shows then release more music/film ma'am

My point still stands. Olivia Colman is worth $7-12M which for a celebrity life isn't heaps of money.

 

The actors that are extremely wealthy (worth over 250M) do not do movies often.
