freshoutthebuffet Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I just watched a YouTube "doc" about her earlier my mind 1
Tropez Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Mind you, her and Tinashe debuted the same year. And I remember atrl saying Natalie would be the bigger artist. 2 1
Lady Claire Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I still find it so weird how quick she was dropped Somebody was a huge hit and the follow-up underperformed/flopped... and it wasn't even that big of a flop (it charted on Bubbling under and peaked at #14 in the UK). Republic could've give her another try or at least let her drop an EP but she was done already 1
Supervillain Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I don't **** with her new music at all but I'm glad she's still getting her stuff out there somehow 1

Of COURSE it was Dead On Arrival. Edited October 8 by trainsskyscrapers
LustSpell Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Insane how quickly this girl seemed to vanish after her one hit.. happy she's doing something

Flocon Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 Remember when she changed the "in the club like what" line by "in the fun like what" because she was performing at the Radio Disney Music Awards. I loved her performances too. Not the best vocalist, but a great energy.

Her deal with Jason Derulo's label imprint fell apart soon after this song, she was a finalist on the show BET/Kelly Rowland had to find a new R&B girl group, and I think she sells luxury real estate now? What I'm saying is this song, coupled with even a fraction of the Republic Records marketing budget of Natalie La Rose's first two singles might have created a hit. If anything, Jason Derulo's label at the time (Beluga Heights) was definitely doing things on the cheap and marketed "Chingalinga" off of his name recognition alone.
Gossip_Boy Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Haven't heard this name in nearly a decade wow. Can't believe she still hasn't put out an album.
Flocon Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 It's OUT Am I the only one having weird noise on Boys Lie during the 1st minute ?
