They seem to be talented. They can sing and they pay attention to harmonies. I like that. I can see the Boyz II Men influences. I wish R&B would be back to mainstream music.

Their logo is awful.

It's 2024. That Around Me video could've included at least one same sex kiss.

This is definitely their best song so far. I've been watching them for a while and found that their talent (which is top-tier) was never quite matched with the right material. Right material, as in right enough to set them on a path to being a charting act. It all felt a little too introspective, wannabe cool, and not playing to the Pop-ier lean of their home market.

This finally strikes that balance. (Though I must say Is It A Crime was solid too). Was worried for them when Ebube was ousted, as he absolutely was their Beyonce. But the new guy seems to gel well and, again, the song is their most GP-friendly to date.

I "get" your LGBTQ comment, but sadly (and rather archaicly) there's still a tried and true formula to booming a band like this: pandering to girls. The LOL and slight irony is that just looking at the group, somewhere between 25% to 50% (at the minimum) present as being part of the community. But hey, it is what it is.

Why did Ebube leave?

I guess they're the "male FLO". A british R&B group trying to break through. I totally agree with you when you say they have to cater to their home country in order to chart. UK's R&B market is so small right now.

Yeah I was worried about them when Ebube left as he stood out quite a lot in the group , but the new member Eshan fits in very well and Around Me is very nice . They just need to keep being consistent now releasing material, performing at shows/festivals and getting themselves out there as they have a lot of potential and just need that one song to really take off mainstream wise . Is It A Crime was very close to doing that it done very well for them on streaming

No idea. Have been really curious about this.

It's really unfortunate because, as @troy4783 said, he was the nucleus of the group.

It's sad because the UK R&B market is tiny and thus will be an uphill battle for any act (Ebube solo or the group) to make moves. Same with FLO and similar.

New song is good but the group doesn't feel nearly as cool without Ebubé. His voice stood out the most and was really essential to the group especially when it came to their harmonies. The new member doesn't quite doin it.

I think it's a bit early to say that about the new member Eshan based off one song tbh . I agree Ebube stood out a lot though , his voice was very distinctive.
