Birth rates are tanking, but something I've seen is that 90% of the people having kids are religious or from conservative backgrounds

 

Will the world go back to the stone age with people passing this mindset?

I'm planning on having kids of course through adoption or other means since I'm a gay man. Overall it depends on the situation and country.

Immigrant and low income families are having kids, and they typically vote blue.

No. People can change their minds even if they come from conservative families. The majority of society used to be homophobic.

And I'm no expert but from what I've heard, the majority of women have children at some point. It's just that people are having fewer children. Many families only have one child, for example. In my environment, people are more or clearly progressive and almost everyone has children.

I'm not terribly worried because this trend has existed for 30 years now and young people are still generally more liberal.  
 

I am a little worried that we have made getting a stable life so unbelievably unrealistic between housing costs, student loans, employment insecurity, etc and having children become so wildly expensive that many people are having less kids than they would otherwise like to.  
 

I think the Republican rhetoric of wanting women to have more children is disgusting, but I would like to have a society that empowers individuals to have as many children as they would want.

I'm not really worried about that because even from conservative backgrounds, liberals come into their own. It's always been the case

People were still having kids during the great depression. If theres one thing you can count on is humans being horny and irresponsible.

Let us think about it this way, just 30-40 years ago, a person working on minimum wage can afford to buy a house, car and support their families

With the way prices have skyrocketed nowadays and minimum wage not reflecting that change, it's no wonder less and less people are having kids

Im implying that people have babies no matter what and they will continue to do so.

not necessarily, many people from conservative families become more left-wing/liberal as they reach adulthood.

 

the bigger problem is MEN becoming more conservative to the point it's creating a big rift between genders.

Conservatives are outdated and regularly move their goalposts to keep up with the times. Just 10-15 years ago these morons think renewable energy is a leftist plot and solar power will drain the sun, now they're popular in the south cause make money from it. I won't worry about their babies.
