blondeskinnyrich Posted October 1 Posted October 1 yall crazy for saying the music is THAT bad... have you heard like 70% of the current charts? The albums content is at least on comparable level if not better i'm not saying it's a great album, but it's far from being **** from start to finish (comparing it to what the radio stations play and gp tends to stream nowadays) ps. I'm obviously talking about the whole world ps2. meaning not only US
The7thStranger Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Of course Katy faces misogyny. She's a woman. And yet, she chose to throw out a thoughtless "feminist" anthem co-written by her friend's rapist.
Maroonx Posted October 1 Posted October 1 funny article... she didn't flop because of ageism/misogyny, she flopped coz the music is bad, really bad... she's still releasing 2010 music in 2024... girl bai x 1
Flanders Posted October 2 Posted October 2 18 hours ago, blown away said: You're right, but that doesn't mean the criticism she gets is undeserved. Men who do similar things or worse should be lashed the same way she is getting lashed. But they aren't, so it's valid to be asking the question of why it's affecting female artists more adversely. I'm not sure if I agree that it's misogyny, but that could definitely be part of it. a lot of gay guys do have misogynistic tendencies, this message board is often a good example of that
kayliah Posted October 2 Posted October 2 her album sucks, boring tired and rehashed lame ass music only nirvana, crush, all my love and no more tears were salvageable.
ThatGUY Posted October 2 Posted October 2 The misogyny is the consequence not the catalyst. Working with Luke was a silly move but she is experiencing misogyny now because men would NOT get criticised for doing the same or worse. This is largely because a lot of pop girls have gay fans who don't frequently listen to male artists so they hyperfocus on these pop girls and live virtuously through them imo.
