Making music doesn't actually make you that much. Just look at Selena Gomez and Rihanna, their billion $ comes from makeup. Taylor just got to a billion in net worth, and she has been in this game for over 15 years and is a touring force. Lana doesn't really tour that much, doesn't do many collabs or promos, doesn't really do TV / interviews, and likely doesn't make that much towards her net worth from only streaming, physical records, and merch (at least when you compare to other mainstream artists who have many brand deals and go on a full international tour every era).
