Wrong.  100% self awareness- he's got a book to sell.  

He was a journalist and knew this would make a great headline. Yes of course, the whole idea of "invading the Netherlands" was nuts (I mean a more pleasant neighbour for the  UK to have it's hard to imagine) but that's not the point here. Selling his book is.

Lowkey, it would have shown how useless NATO actually is.  The USA would NEVER come to defend any European country if a NATO member was to show genuine aggression against another NATO member, and neither would any other of the bigger NATO countries because they're all proxy states of the USA won't act unless the USA decides to act as well. t

Thank God we have the EU. Ursula would have instructed Ireland and Scotland to invade England from the West and North, while France, GER and the rest come from the East. 

 

Britain would have fallen in days.
