karron0624 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Wait, we werent supposed to be paying our loans? Ive been paying since the start of the year. 🙃
Scheissex Posted October 2 Posted October 2 We've known that the ramp up period is ending this month for quite some time… I mean, I don't want to make my loan payments either but that's how the cookie crumbles. Not sure why everyone thinks it's not their responsibility to pay loans that they themselves took out 1 1
Onyxmage Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Im in the SAVE program so I believe my loans are still on hold but people need to start paying SOMETHING. Like did you think he was just gonna put them on hold forever?

Biden can't take credit for the student loan forgiveness he has tried but then also have his supporters argue debtors are somehow lazy. Biden - by forgiving debt - recognizes that the debt accrued was debt wrongly created and why it justifies forgiveness. If Biden acknowledges that the student debt crisis is wrong and was the government wrongly putting people into loans they could not afford - then he has the responsibility to forgive debt or make the payment of said debt affordable or pause the collection of federally-held student debt until he can actually achieve either of these things. So... does Biden deserve credit for knowing student debt was predatory or does he agree with you that student debtors should be exploited & suffer? 2
