sunbathinganimal Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Quote She said she wasn't "even ready to talk about [the album] yet", but promised to share more details soon. However, the New Yorker did reveal: "The pop album is nothing like 'Chromatica. It's a completely different record […] What I would say is, it's all for me. Quote "It's meant to be ingested as a time in my life," she continued. "And I'm also really excited about this idea that I don't have to adhere to an era if I don't want to. I can have a few going at once. That feels unhinged [laughs] and more like me or Harley. Or whoever." https://www.nme.com/news/music/lady-gaga-says-her-next-album-is-nothing-like-chromatica-lg7-joker-folie-a-deux-harley-quinn-3797668 Edited September 28 by sunbathinganimal 8

BorderBoy Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Just like she called ARTPOP the album of the millennial or something? 1 11
Florence Belch Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Oooooh, I JUST know Abracadabra is coming to make my wig disappear like GODEquin on the charts
Reginald Posted September 28 Posted September 28 "And I'm also really excited about this idea that I don't have to adhere to an era if I don't want to. I can have a few going at once." Loving this concept, and I hope it continues beyond LG7! Most of my current faves release new droplets or collabs every few months, even if they aren't part of an album 1
surprisecentres Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Didn't she call BTW album of the decade and Artpop album of the millennium and no one even remembered those outside of the month they were released? 1 3 1 10

Rihinvention Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I'm kinda devo, considering I see Chromatica as her magnum opus. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but it's my favourite album of the 2020s. She was never going to do the same thing again, but from the snippets I've heard, it sounds kind of ARTPOP-ish. I hated ARTPOP and think it deserved every lashing it got. Hopefully it's something entirely new…or more TFM/BTW-inspired. But if it ends up sounding like ARTPOP, then "it's nothing like Chromatica!" isn't a good thing imo 1 1

freshoutthebuffet Posted September 28 Posted September 28 It better not be a country album… that's all I'm saying
modeblock Posted September 28 Posted September 28 The outfits suggest industrial rock pop, like Bad Romance but edgier and rougher. 1
terrijoe Posted September 29 Posted September 29 She's been so mid since she became a Zionist. Sad to see my once fave lose it.
