YourFavoriteWeapon Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I'd definitely say so. One of the most sweetest and lovable characters to ever grace the small screen played perfectly by Sharon Gless who really deserved an Emmy for her role (as well as a lot of other actors in this show who were undeservingly overlooked and deserved nominations). 8 1
izzyinsane Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Yes. This show is so underrated, it definitely needs to be rereleased on Netflix or something to rack up the new generation of the LGBTQ community. 1
commander Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Yes, she's one of my favorites characters of all time. Mike never appreciated her as she deserved and I will always hate him for that. 3 1
Frozen99 Posted September 26 Posted September 26 yes, she was a pioneering character, severely underrated not just for the queer community. 1

I'm so mad it got taken off Netflix (and that they changed all the music due to music licensing fees a la' Daria ) Some aspects about it haven't aged well (re. Justin and Brian's blatant age gap and the lack of POC/trans representation) but I genuinely consider it one of the best TV shows of the 2000's. Every character is incredibly complex and acted to perfection (especially Gale Harold as Brian and Thea Gill as Lindsay ) and the show touched upon many topics in the gay community that are way more prevalent now (re: Ted's horrific PNP meth subplot and the prelude to the finale being a gay club bombing which feels very eerie knowing that the Pulse terrorist attack happened not even a decade after it aired). I feel like the younger gays who aren't aware of it are definitely missing out (I have a bunch of Gen-Z gay friends and only one of them knew what it is ) and it's so sad that it feels lowkey forgotten outside of gay male spaces, like for godsake the subreddit only has 2k users and is dead as ****. This masterpiece deserves more praise wbk 1 1

I really want to get the DVD box-set but it goes for like $200 Maybe I'll get it as a Christmas gift

The episode where she wants to spice up her sex life with Mike so she asks Emmett and Ted for help when it comes to giving oral and they bring a bunch of dildos over to help teach her and then after she blows Mike he accuses her of being a "***** who used to get around" given that her skills were top-tier and she gets livid What a classic!
