Kayseri Mantisi Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) Reported this thread for misinformation and being a smear campaign without official sources or any research. This is already debunked and it's confirmed fake. The original poster had to delete their posts from everywhere after the expose. — This happened to only 1 person out of millions of Buds sold. No official news outles were reporting this other than Gizmochina. You're not in danger of course, if you're using a Galaxy Buds. — If you look for the medical reports, they were stating that there is a hearing loss in the RIGHT ear, while the exploded earbud was the LEFT one. The earbud wasn't placed incorrectly to ears. — The user continuosly REFUSED to post any pics of his ears. — On the pics, you can see that the tip exploded and not the battery. The plastic looks melted, like it was dropped on a hot surface. LiPo battery explosions do not look anything like that. More like it was dropped on a hot surface and melted because the main body of the buds look completely fine. If the buds was in pieces and burnt it would've been an explosion for sure, since lithium batteries actually can and do blow up if poorly designed and implemented. But this looks like it got dropped on a pan while cooking, etc. You clearly have never seen a battery explosion if you're believing this directly. — Barely any news about one of the biggest companies in the world having a huge, serious, life threathening problem with their product, why do you think so? — The medical report was later on exposed as it was filed in June. Why would the victim talk about such a serious event more than 3 months later? Sounds like the hearing loss is caused by something else way before, and the Buds were accidentally (or not) dropped on a hot surface and it was a perfect chance to try and get a lot of money from Samsung by framing them here. — Even though this story got debunked and confirmed as FAKE, Samsung still did their best, contacted them, and the user who faked all of this said Samsung made a positive return to them and they were looking forward for solutions, then thanked them before deleting all of this. mokitsu Posted September 25 Posted September 25 The fact this is a recurrent issue for Samsung products Buying a Samsung phone is the same as letting a terrorist into your home 4
simon_xcx Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I cannot believe how incredibly unsafe samsung products have proven to be over the years - yet people continue to purchase and consume their products! It is unfathomable to me… 4
