the most disappointing part of this is Governor Whitmer. She hasn't called out actual islamaphobia on Rep Rashida Tlaib yet is now capitulating and calling her an anti semite. WTF is going on

Jake Tapper now saying he "misspoke" but not retracting his initial claims (or Dana Bash retracting), yikes

the fearmongering about "antisemitism being everywhere" is so transparent

ew. he's an embarrassment and a disgrace to jewish people, just like P!nk and Selma Blair and Regina Spektor. tragic ass b*tch aging like milk. I feel for Representative Tlaib and she is clearly not an anti-semite. Tapper can f*ck right off and I hope his ass gets sacked.

He's disgusting and deserves to be off the face of this earth for spreading hateful propaganda. Along with Dana Bash.

Antisemitism is definitely everywhere right now lol i dont need to explain to you why - but its not made up that antisemitism has greatly increased because of Israel's actions

But CNN, "Facts first". And Dana Bash continues to prove my point what a nasty woman she is. **** them both.

Tlaib needs to strongly come out against this instead of letting them control the narrative and smear her.

Blame Israel and mainstream media for not accurately and honestly reporting on the situation in Gaza. Tapper and his racist buddies consider "Free Palestine" said by Jewish folks as semitism.

Can't she technically *sue* them or something similiar for defamation?

im going to blame the people that hold anti-semitic beliefs and not the media, actually.

Also I have no idea what else Tlaib could be referencing when she says:

"It seems that the attorney general decided if the issue was Palestine, she was going to treat it differently, and that alone speaks volumes about possible biases within the agency she runs,"  she said.

Yes, and she should. I know she's not going to and she's just going to roll with the punches. But she should at least make a statement via social media denouncing their lies.

Hopefully she will.

...because the AG was biased when it came to Palestine, just like the majority of our elected officials regardless of religion?

Quote

Tlaib pointed out that Nessel, who has been in office since January 2019, has not filed charges against protesters opposed to racism, police brutality, water shutoffs, and environmental contamination.

Tlaib never once mentioned Nessel's religion or Judaism. But Metro Times pointed out in the story that Nessel is Jewish, and that appears to be the spark that led to the false claims.

It should also be noted that the ACLU of Michigan criticized Nessel for charging peaceful protesters at the University of Michigan.

But go ahead and infer it to fit your narrative :eddie:

I stand corrected based on these additional resources - thanks for providing. Not all of us who engage in discourse are out to "fit our own narratives"

Antisemitism is not "everywhere" lol pls. Sure, there are isolated incidents of antisemitic attacks, almost entirely from either Black Hebrew Israelites and right-wing white nationalists, neither of whom are being spotlighted by these grifters at CNN.

These numbers the ADL and their ilk push about antisemitic attacks are extremely inflated and serve almost entirely to stoke fear in Jewish communities and silence criticism of Israel from those outside of it (which is why the term antisemitism is now being expanded, to quell any remaining anti-Israeli dissent)

I disagree - a cursory glance will show you it's indeed escalated - the amount of times our jewish centers have been defaced in the last month in our very liberal city is alarming.  of course this is also rising with attacks in general against minority groups globally - this isnt so different from other times historically in which fascism has increased

Joe Biden is also biased against the Palestinian protesters. Is that also antisemitic to say? He's not Jewish. One can be "biased" regardless of any personal stakes you may be accusing Tlaib of referencing.

The only promoter of Anti-Semitism really is Israel because it helps justify their continued aggressions in the Middle East. That's literally the only "legit" thing thats keeping Israel on the West's graces (obv we all know why they are supporting that state).

Time will tell if such policy will inevitably doom Israel. Its only making Israel more polarizing by creating more enemies than it should.

The insidious and ironically, antisemitic weaponization of antisemitism by zionists is literally out of the right-wing playbook. It's like they're trying to do the nazi doublespeak but in defense of a jewish version of nazi Germany. There's gonna be so many books about this phenomena it's crazy.
