Cesar Posted September 22 Posted September 22 their close proximity to whiteness. it's the same thing with white woman & femininity. they don't really want equality for all women / gays. They just want to be equal to the white cis man. also, the first tweet in the op is doing it for engagement bait. anytime you see some bullsh*t by a verified user. don't even interact with their tweet. they just saying the most outrageous things so they can get paid at the end of month.
Into The Void Posted September 22 Posted September 22 didn't know u could get fired for political views
John Slayne Posted September 22 Posted September 22 many reasons why people support their own oppression, but the main one is that they have internalised homophobia and shame and deep down see themselves as 'freaks' and 'not belonging'. instead of dealing with those feelings they project them onto more visibly queer people in order to take attention away from themselves and to protect their ego from having to deal with the fact that they are not 'normal'. of course it's not going to work as a political strategy and the phobes will hate you even if you're masc or straight-passing. but i don't think they do this because they genuinely believe that Trump will spare the masc gays and come for everyone else. it's a purely emotional instinct to cope with shame and self-hate. 1

Trump isn't attacking gays tho he's attacking the trans community which unfortunately many gays don't support
