Kamala is a mixed-race woman. Her admixture (Indian and Black) is generally referred as being a Dougla, especially in the Caribbean, where that term is used correctly.

 

Janet's wrong about Kamala's father being white (though some allege that he is mixed), but she is right that Kamala's a mixed woman.

Her brother, Randy, is a Trump supporter and is in control of her business decisions...it's very sad and disappointing to see his political views is now slowly influencing Janet's perception of the current US election. But she has no one to blame but herself if this triggers a big backlash against her given all her past social activism and stances against racial hate and bigotry.
