Yep, and there's something about old people not being very tech savvy in general that makes them so easily caught up on fake news. They see those AI generated things on social media feed and put the same trust they would put on a conventional news source. It doesn't matter how smart they are, I've seen it in person, a lot of otherwise sane individuals on their late 50 and up being attracted by the most weird world views thanks to the interwebs occupying all their free time lately.

At the end of the day, Janet is responsible for the things that come out of her mouth. And given that social justice is what she has based a large part of her career on, we expect her to do better and not regurgitate MAGAt talking points. She owes Kamala a legitimate apology, and she needs to take a hard look at the people she has in her team, including her MAGAt brother. But that's nothing new. Her team has been a disaster for the better part of the past two decades.
