It's called hyperbole. It sounds more like they were trying to get the terms of the deal straightened out until 3am and were determined to have her sign that day. She sounds happy and not uncomfortable talking about it.

Her music career went on to be record breaking and she's now a billionaire mogul :) Thank you Jay-Z!!

Well if you put it that way, it sounds weird. But if i remember this correctly, Rihanna wasn't alone (she had family with her) and the reason why they "kept" her is because they were waiting for the contract to be written (she had meetings with other labels the following day).

of course.

but everyone wants Jay Z to crumble so they can play gotcha with Beyoncé.

It's ironic to think that Rihanna was discovered from a tiny island in the middle of nowhere. Just imagine being blessed like that!

Thank you Jay-Z!

Seems like reaching to me. Doesn't say she was alone and it's normal for artists to be recording all hours.

What a reach

People don't understand hyperboles.

I hate this mentality. Using a horrible situation for a viral tweet is disrespectful to the victims. This news is over 10 years old—you're only making it a problem now. Not everyone is a predator.

Drake stans just want to point the finger at someone else and accuse them of horrible behavior…. It's gross

Where there is smoke there's fire! He's a massive weirdo with a sketchy past but his wife fans some members just feel the neeeeeed to defend him :toofunny2:

100%, i just believe in innocent until proven guilty, has he done some weird **** in his past? idk.. but does that make Rihanna a victim? No

Post it then? People who say this and then can't back it up. No one can defend anything because no one posted anything he did,  it's all people like you hoping he did something. :coffee:

What horrible situation? Rihanna still sings Jay-Z's praises to this day. :rip: It's an obvious hyperbolic anecdote, implying that he saw great potential in her and had to take her on, spun in a way that's meant to be humorous.

Spaces like Twitter give benighted, C-minus average 'pundits' too big of a platform to amplify their voices.

For the most part his wife's fans hate him more than most people. Just not for made up reasons, salivating over the idea of him being a predator like some weirdos on here and Twitter.
