Strawberry Bubble
We were all waiting for her comeback, we were all expecting the bangers, and then we all lost hope after Woman's World was released. Do we have any other examples of someone who dominated the world at her level and fell this hard? I actually can't think of anyone else.

wastedpotential
In the sense that she's been set up to succeed and still managed to absolutely flop 3 times in a row, each time worse than the last, yes. *Insert that gif of Rise on the wheelchair flying off the cliff*

But Christina Aguilera is still respected and remembered for her great voice… in some places, lol. Katy is just seen as a 'used to be' act.

MidnightsAtPeace
Yes. even Christina generated a hit with Say Something years after many failed attempts. Katy has been flopping nonstop since 2017 and it's getting very embarrassing for her. I genuinely feel bad for her because she fell victim to her stupidity and naivety
UnusualBoy
Nope, we've had pop girls who score a huge hit and then during the same era or the next one tanked. Y'all so dramatic.

Even when Xtina's career was in the pits of hell (fat nasty and broke etc) she was at least able to score hits as features with MLJ and Say Something. The state of Katy's career is so bad right now that scoring a hit with a 30-second feature isn't even possible anymore 4
DockDock
you have xTina, but Katy feels bigger since she was the bigger popstar (chart wise) , so this fall feels bigger to everyone.anyway she is going down sinsce W and S.

Beyonnaise
What was really crazy with Witness and ever since is how she cratered not just in the U.S. but globally. She was one of the biggest pop acts in Europe and LatAm because of her 2008-2014 run. Three years later she couldn't even scrape a moderate hit in either market. That hasn't really happened before with such a huge pop act, Mariah almost came close with Glitter but course corrected and then continued a more normal gradual decline.
