bielneira Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Why is she getting dragged by everyone these days? 1
Imagine Dragon Posted September 20 Posted September 20 It's not even that serious. The question was asked in a polite way. 1
TheCheshireCat Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Errrr you can call her recent efforts a flop but she is certainly "known" by gen Z. Her music was popular with kids during her peak which would have literally been gen Z so they obviously know who is she. Gen Alpha? Maybe.
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 As a Gen Z myself, we all know her 1 hour ago, RoseGold said: Wouldn't that be gen alpha? Majority of genz would've been little kids and you could not escape Californoa Girls. This. But Gen Alpha (at least the ones that are around 11-14) know her for sure.
Elementary Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) Why is she even in Brazil of all places in the middle of release date of the album? Edited September 20 by Elementary
Doctor Dick Posted September 20 Posted September 20 2 hours ago, TaylorsSquad said: It's wild Katy couldn't sustain a fanbase like Gaga, Taylor or Adele. Especially Adele who's been releasing albums every half a decade. I mean, her previous album before 30 was during a time when Katy was still relevant and that's only been TWO albums since for Adele. And she's still able to attract way more attention by just saying something on one of her successful concerts than Katy has during the last two eras combined
TipToe Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I believe the reporter doesn't know the exact age range for gen Z (that i keep hearing like 'Jay Z' in this video btw). Back in 2011 when Katy was at her popularity peak most of her fans were teenagers, thus gen Z. If gen z don't know about her hits they must be suffering from amnesia. 1

I don't even think the interviewer was hating. Interviewers in Latam make a lot of dumb and rude questions like these when artists come. They don't even do their research.
Ricardo1993 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 3 hours ago, Jay07 said: Yeah that's enough now. She ****** up majorly by working with that person but seeing people take pleasure in her humiliation is off-putting. Just let her fade away. I agree. She deserved some lashings for working with Dr. Luke especially from Kesha but there are also people dragging her not for her problematic actions but to ignite stan wars and it's just so childish. I wouldn't be surprised if these nut jobs were to celebrate if god forbid something terrible happened to Katy. Stans always take it too far.
If U Seek Amy Posted September 20 Posted September 20 All gen z does is talk about her constantly so dumb question 1

Saint James Posted September 20 Posted September 20 that wasn't really the question though… you guys are turning this so negative no reason. Katy answered it quite well
LoveInStereo Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) Gen Z started in 1995. Katy's Super Bowl was 2015. I'm starting to think people think a lotta ppl don't realize gen z is a generational cohort, it's just a term they throw around to mean young people Edited September 20 by LoveInStereo 1
Raphy23 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Gen Z DOES know her. It's Gen alpha that doesn't (13 and 14 year olds now).
Britney Jean Posted September 21 Posted September 21 That's why these western artists shouldn't take too long of a hiatus, people will quickly forgot especially when more productive kpop groups exists.
