Okay Tina is getting on my nerves Bey recorded a whole ass album out of spite, the CMAs didn't force her to. It was her thing (that she crapped out and ignored instantly btw) and it was a surprise to me that so many fans even expected noms to begin with. Didn't even begin to consider that Bey herself expected any.

 

And the whole "been country" thing is dubious to say the least

If it is fake, that makes sense bc it almost sounds like somebody trying to pretend to be southern with the way they used n' to abbreviate like "workin'" "puttin'" Miss Tina doesn't type like that lol. At most, she'd probably just spell it out like "workin" and not put the apostrophe.

I've been enjoying CC but don't think of it as a country album, the same as I never thought of Rainbow, Younger Now or Joanne as country albums. Those albums weren't nominated  and it wasn't made into a big to-do.

Saying she didn't "spend her life" in country music isn't dismissive of her work, it acknowledges reality.  What genres was all that work she put in for years a part of Ms. Tina?

 

Anyway, I feel bad for Bey because she really can't win. If she speaks out in any way other than sucking up to people and institutions, she'll get flamed. And the people who decide to speak on her behalf do so in ways that just make everything worse and perpetuate the idea that Bey is entitled, even though none of what's being said is from her mouth. It's really not shocking that she continues to stay silent.

The album didn't deserve to be nominated but not for the reason Dolly said.

 

Bey LET IT DIE. She gave no reason to the public to keep the album top of mind, which would carry it through the year and MAYBE would have applied more pressure to these hicks to nominate it, because they'd have no choice.

 

Therefore NOBODY, not her, not Jay, have the right to feel slighted once the album gets paid dust at the Grammys
