It's called overexposure. I literally had no idea he put out a new song. When you're releasing a new song every month, it all gets mixed in with the noise.

Also, the song is meh. This sound is tired and he refuses to evolve anymore. Next!

Both the song and video were very boring so I'm not surprised

Not these random Weeknd lashings; those MC scores truly did a number on you.

It's not "payola" it's just using the video as an ad :rip: Almost every artist does this, it's just marketing.

You have to pay for the ads sis. That is PAYola.  And no, not every artist does this! the balant lie.

Well yes you pay for it, but it's very transparent and obvious and YouTube very publicly lets you do that. When people talk about "payola" typically they are referring to secret radio payola, which is not meant to happen. But YouTube video ads are just standard and a ton of artists do it AFAIK. In my experience it's a bit useless because it's impossible to tell if it's real people or bots and generally doesn't do anything long-term for the video, hence The Weeknd's video dropping like a rock.

His fake views obtained through bots and unskippable add have finally run out. Flopping in the Flames will now start to really tank

As much as I love Dawn FM, nobody wants another 80's synth album from The Weeknd. BL and SYT are over-saturated to the point where, unfortunately, he can't release any more songs in that vein for a LONG time. There's a reason why the Idol songs smashed and this isn't and why Is There Someone Else is outstreaming the actual singles of Dawn FM on a 5:1 ratio :skull: We want r&b
