It's a Big Brother carbon copy actually. Both shows are placed in the same mansion and TV channel (Globo). Big Brother airs from January through May, while Estrela da Casa premiered last month and will end next month.

 

Big Brother is basically a national event that everyone talks about (depending if the GP likes the contestants) and kinda became a influencer factory for local stars. Popular contestants end up with millions of followers and very rich.

 

Estrela follows the same premise but with singing and it's a mix of Big Brother, The X-Factor and Fama (an old reality that aired here in Brazil years ago); however none of the contestants have charisma and the show was DOA. No one watches this. I watched during the first weeks but dropped...
