Apparently JoJo knows information about Aaliyah that she will never tell. She knows her family aside from that evil uncle of hers. 
 

She alludes to who left Aaliyah unprotected when it came to R Kelly. She didn't name names but it's clear she meant that evil uncle.

The gays tried to push Chappell Roan on her. She admits she's unfamiliar with her. I get the feeling she just doesn't like her music lol

I haven't read the book yet but it sounds like she mentions Aaliyah in the book because of Blackground. 
 

She tells this story and I think she's talked about this before, but when she met Barry, he told her that he saw Aaliyah in a dream or vision and Aaliyah told him to invest in JoJo because "she's the one." This was of course after Aaliyah passed. 
 

That probably messed with her head as a 12 year old.

Ah ok! I was a baby when Aaliyah was her peak, and I never really saw the rise of Jojo as well! So I didn't really realize the connection!

Cannot stand those gays, especially Matt Rodgers. Not even the slightest bit surprised they tried to push Chappell Roan on her. The internet could try to make a singing toilet bowl the next big pop star and Matt Rodgers would be right there co-signing it.

The title of the thread makes it sound more sensationalistic than it really is. If you listen to the podcast it makes sense within the context. And obviously she knows secrets because she was signed by her uncle and was part of the same label Aaliyah was in for a decade. Also JoJo and Aaliyah never met lol, Aaliyah died before JoJo was even a public figure.

Thank you! The title made me upset but listened to the interview and makes sense now! Her uncle is horrible honestly. I don't know much about Jojo but learning that it's the same uncle makes sense!!!
