Gladiator Posted September 17 Posted September 17 This made me revisit the album. I forgot how excellent it was. She really did that. I wish Golden G String picked up some traction. It was my favorite back then. 1
Alaska. Posted September 17 Posted September 17 750k streams yesterday I was expecting like half of those streams since it went viral a while ago. A future classic
HRHCOLLECTION Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Crazy to think she has a a couple more songs ready to hit 1B very shortly...whew a streaming force
mons†er Posted September 17 Posted September 17 My first favorite song off of 'Plastic Hearts' and my 3rd favorite Miley song ever. This song deserved the same success as 'Wrecking Ball' if not more. It was number 1 in my house for 4 months.
Mr. Duff Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I just saw that We Can't Stop also made it to 1B, and both Wrecking Ball and NBLAH are also super close!
laqqinq Posted September 17 Posted September 17 (edited) After Miley's seventh album 'Plastic Hearts' was released, album track "Angels Like You" went #7 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. It went #1 on Belgium's Ultratip Bubbling Under Chart and the Czech Republic IFPI radio chart. The song hit the top 40 on the Heatseeker chart of Sweden and on record charts of various European regions including Ireland, Iceland, and San Marino. It peaked at #55 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and #66 on the UK singles chart. It also hit #87 on the Billboard Global 200 chart. "Angels Like You" was serviced as a radio single in Australia and Italy in March/April 2021. A music video was also released in March, which was recorded at Miley's performance as the headliner of the Super Bowl LV TikTok Tailgate pre-game show the month prior. Many Miley Cyrus fans expressed their desire for making ALY a US single and their disappointment in the poor promotion that was handled by RCA Records. ALY gained some traction thanks to Miley's festival tour, the Attention Tour in South America, in 2022. But it commenced a resurgence in popularity and streaming in early 2023, after the song started to go viral on TikTok in mainly Asian countries. Fan-made remixes and unofficial sped-up versions were used in thousands of videos. This led to the song re-entering the Global Spotify chart and charting for WEEKS. Eventually, it reached a peak of #19 with over 2.3M streams. Thanks to the TikTok virality and streaming resurgence, "Angels Like You" hit new peaks on the Billboard Global 200 (#73) and Billboard Global Excl. US (#43), and ended at #166 on the BB Global Excl. US year-end chart of 2023. Because it was a streaming success in Asia, ALY went #1 on the Billboard Philippines, #2 on the Malaysia Recording Industry Association chart, #4 on the Billboard charts of Malaysia and Indonesia, and #12 in Singapore. It is certified gold in the US, Australia, Denmark, France, and Poland; silver in the UK; platinum in Spain; and 2× Diamond in Brazil. "Angels Like You" is Miley's 4th song to hit the 1B mark, the 1st from 'Plastic Hearts', and her 4th most streamed song on Spotify now. It is also the most-streamed song on the 'Plastic Hearts' album now, overtaking singles like "Midnight Sky" (642M) and "Prisoner" (ft. Dua Lipa) (814M), which were bigger commercially, during the album rollout. ALY NEVER charted on the Billboard Hot 100! Miley's most streamed songs now: 1. "Flowers" - 2.197B 2. "Party in the U.S.A." - 1.69B 3. "We Can't Stop" - 1B 4. "Angels Like You" - 1B - next songs to hit 1B - 5. "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" (Mark Ronson ft. Miley Cyrus) - 990M (October 2024) 6. "Wrecking Ball" - 970M (November 2024) Edited September 17 by laqqinq 1 2

naval23 Posted September 17 Posted September 17 the fact it outstreamed "Midnight Sky" and "Prisoner" - talent always wins Peaks really mean less in the streaming era
Paddy Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I was never a big fan of this song, and I still am not, but I am glad ALY is doing so well! Justice for Plastic Hearts era/album!
