Minto Posted September 17 Posted September 17 praying is 5x platinum????? girl how is that genuinely possible im so confused 1 4
VioletsandRoses Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Amazing certs. The only ones that are low are Blow, We R Who We R and YLIMD. They did 3.7, 3.6 and 4.1m digital so only 1 or so million from streaming is bad. Praying is super impressive. It had great longevity 4
Vixen Eyes Posted September 17 Posted September 17 i hope Kesha's new era out-certifies them within the same length of time these releases took to get these certifications! 3

Ger Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Oh wow, genuinely surprised of "Praying, but I guess it's time to accept it was THAT big hit. Animal 4x Platinum is awesome to see All these certs are awesome to see to be honest 2
Alaska. Posted September 17 Posted September 17 5 hours ago, Minto said: praying is 5x platinum????? girl how is that genuinely possible im so confused It's really not that surprising honestly. The song had great longevity on the radio and some christians apparently love the song, judging by the youtube comment section. 3
Popular Post TomTom Posted September 17 Popular Post Posted September 17 (edited) This is a DREAM, I literally just thought how amazing it would be to get another certification update again finally given the last one is from 2018 and I was convinced RCA would never pay to update her certifications ever again now that she is independent. So happy to be proven wrong. Spoiler I can honestly see her paying them for the update . All certifications overview: Singles & certified tracks: TikTok: 8x Platinum —>12x Platinum (+4 million) Timber: 10x Platinum —>10x Platinum (=) Right Round: 8x Platinum —>8x Platinum (=) WRWWR: 5x Platinum —>6x Platinum (+1 million) Die Young: 4x Platinum —>6x Platinum (+2 million) YLIMD: 4x Platinum —>5x Platinum (+1 million) Blow: 4x Platinum —>5x Platinum (+1 million) Praying: 2x Platinum —>5x Platinum (+3 million) Take It Off: 3x Platinum —>4x Platinum (+1 million) Blah Blah Blah: 2x Platinum —>3x Platinum (+1 million) Good Old Days: 3x Platinum —>3x Platinum (=) Cannibal: N/A —>Platinum (+1 million) (NEW) C'Mon: Platinum —>Platinum (=) Crazy Kids: Platinum —>Platinum (=) Woman: Gold —>Platinum (+500k) Animal: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) Kiss 'N Tell: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) Backstabber: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) Dinosaur: Gold —>Gold (=) My First Kiss: Gold —>Gold (=) Sleazy: Gold —>Gold (=) Grow A Pear: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) LTLG: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) Raising Hell: N/A —>Gold (+500k) (NEW) Albums: Animal: 3x Platinum —>4x Platinum (+1 million) Cannibal: Platinum —>2x Platinum (+1 million) Warrior: Gold —>Platinum (+500k) Rainbow: Gold —>Platinum (+500k) Total certified units: 62 million —> 83.5 million (+21.5 million) Last update: 12/13/2018 Edited September 17 by TomTom 12 5
TomTom Posted September 17 Posted September 17 8 hours ago, Minto said: praying is 5x platinum????? girl how is that genuinely possible im so confused It sold like two million digital copies already back when it was last updated (2018), has over 500 million streams on Spotify and most of those are from the Anglosphere given that's where the song was successful. It's really not surprising. 1

Once it peaked, it free-fell horribly, sharing now one of the largest negative bullets on Pop radio history, which is very unfourtanate.

RCA requested to take it off from radio because she released Good Old Days with Macklemore as new single in late 2017 and it wasn't taking off because stations were still heavily playing Praying like 4-5 months after release.
