Hector Posted September 16 Posted September 16 This is MASSIVE! What an absolute classic album & era this is though 2
Green Posted September 17 Posted September 17 2x Diamond???? That's huge They need to update American Idiot too (it's probably close to Diamond) 1
Reverse Warholian Posted September 17 Posted September 17 (edited) Whoa, I knew this album was big for them but always assumed it was maybe 7 or 8x Platinum. 20x is insane. Anyone know its pure sales and streams? Edited September 17 by Reverse Warholian 1

Anyone know its pure sales and streams? Exactly, I'm actually pretty shocked. Even 8x platinum is massive but this is on another level. Not even Nirvana's Nevermind, Metallica's Self-Titled, or Pearl Jam's Ten are this high in sales. What is the breakdown if anybody has it?

ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted September 17 ATRL Moderator Posted September 17 I was literally listening to Pulling Teeth in the car today Deserved, a record that truly holds up. Everyone say thank you Coming Clean (my personal favorite)

Metallica's album is easily 2x Diamond, the certification hasn't been updated in years. It was 16x Platinum in 2012 based on pure sales alone
Ger Posted September 17 Posted September 17 OH WOW, one of the biggest albums of all-time if we are being objective. Craazy, but I know this was definetely a generation defining album. Classic.

Green Posted September 17 Posted September 17 1 hour ago, getinthezone said: Doesn't mean it sold over 10 million Billboard reported it's over 8 million in 2014 Because Billboard doesn't count music club sales If that's the case Baby one more time sold 10 million and not 14 million or Music Box sold 7 million instead of 10 million 1
