xokuba Posted October 17 Author Posted October 17 2:30 hours before this is out in NZ, hopefully with new cover
Hector Posted October 17 Posted October 17 This is fabulous Deserves to be a smash but won't because the GP is tasteless these days.
MusicIsMyMaster Posted October 17 Posted October 17 i cant wait to listen to thisssssssssssssssssssss
RadioactiveLights Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Gorgeous song! I'm so happy she's back on a major label
Maroonx Posted October 17 Posted October 17 i thought the cover was supposed to be a place holder... guess not :-/
Roxasvos Posted October 17 Posted October 17 OMG even better then I thought!!.. THE BRIDGE! THE GUITAR SOLO! THE LAST CHORUS WITH THE GUITAR! A SONG OVER 3 MINUTES!
STMG23 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 The Cover is alright! C'mon now sisters! More important: The song is beautiful, classic Sophie. I'm not sure if I LOVE it but I like it very much and I feel like it may grow on me. Lyrics are nice, it's very smooth and classy. I sense a multitude of hooks....
RadioactiveLights Posted October 18 Posted October 18 (edited) Spotify Playlisting: #19 - New Music Friday UK #15 - New Music Friday Australia #17 - New Music Friday Denmark Press release announcing her signing with Decca Records in the UK https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/sophie-ellis-bextor-signs-to-decca-records/090693. I hope Casablanca/Republic do something for her in the US. She's been on the Casablanca site for months, but not on the Republic site (Nelly Furtado is also signed to Casablanca and is on the Republic site too). Her website copyright also says "2024 Decca Records" now. It was previously attributed to Cooking Vinyl Edited October 18 by RadioactiveLights
RT Air Posted October 18 Posted October 18 What a bop I need everyone to channel the same goodwill and enthusiasm to this song that they've given to Murder On The Dancefloor 1
BlackoutZone Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I love it! I thought it would be too on the nose disco (and well it is!), but some electronic elements and that guitar break make the whole thing cool as ****! I'm not surprised though, I've seen it from a mile, but guess who produced this He is unmatched
MusicIsMyMaster Posted October 18 Posted October 18 holy BOP she really did that her cadence on the 1st verse is insane wowwwwww that voice the strings the melody the harmonies the hook
Ewan Chaos Posted October 18 Posted October 18 This really is very Kylie (esp 2020s) coded, but it probably didn't help that I listened to this right after Tension II nnnnn. It's really good! I remember having high hopes for her new music after Crying at the Discoteque (even if it was a cover) and then we got... Hana... so her releasing this great new lead single with a full album on the horizon gives me a lot of hope!
