Was mainly curious what kinda of power her held at the time, considering she was let out the contract.  I feel like it might've been more to the story…than just her wanting to appear on the show.  

Well, perhaps she was able to put it aside for a check during Covid. But that's just my assumption. It's a fair point you raise but I can see why/how people in the industry brush things like that off for certain reasons or opportunities.

 

Diddy rumors have been going around forever, but he hasn't actually been exposed until this year. Clearly, he had and still has some power or protection. Now that documented abuse is out there, she'll have the best chance for justice. Praying for ha.

Sorry, but I feel like, only now do you want to talk... and it was all so bad that you still decided to do a new collaboration, 'Dirty Money,' after Danity Kane... So, when it benefits you, you look the other way, but now that you can get money, you're suddenly a victim. And then on top of that you decide to join him AGAIN in 2020 ?? I'm sorry but how does that work 😒😒

Sometimes you are forced to deal with unscrupulous people in order to survive. That man had incredible power in the industry. She’s not suddenly a victim. What she is, is a survivor who is bolstered by other women who came forward, thus giving her the courage and cover to come forth with her own experiences. It’s hard to put the first crack in a dam that’s going to break. But once that first crack is there, others feel like they can help break the damn too.

I could understand her doing Dirty Money because technically she owed Diddy for bailing her out of her pre-DK record deal.  But…to work with him again in 2020, even as a guest star…seems like an interesting choice.  Unless he threatened her then too (which is very possible).

She always seemed very supportive and vocal about Cassie's case, so I had a feeling she knew some things.  
 

 

At the end of the day, she's an indie artist. She has an incredible, versatile and acclaimed discography that most artists would dream of but unfortunately, she's never quite had the commercial success. It would've been a cute cheque and an excuse to get some publicity for her also - I get where you are coming from but she's probably not in the financial position where she can pass on opportunities like this one, especially when it aligns as that's what her origin story is.

Right.  I would've too.  No matter how amazing the experience was being on MTV/MTB…if it's associated with trauma that followed in the whole group experience afterwards, I DEF wouldn't have reunited with DK at all lol.  
 

Also, makes sense why D Woods was iffy about the initial reunion too.  I owe her an apology too, b/c I was DRAGGING her for not coming back  
 

I know Diddy wasn't a part of the reunion, but who knows how he would've meddled in their business still.  ESPECIALLY if the reunion was a huge success.

Out of all the DK girls Dawn is the last one I expected to file a lawsuit against him. She always spoke so highly of him, but considering the allegations he tried to pimp them out I 100% believe her. 

 

She's apparently being helped by the same person who helped Cassie so there's definitely evidence to support her claims. More stuff will probably come out unless he pays her out or something.

Same. I would've expected Aubrey or Aundrea to file. Aubrey cause she's been the most vocal. Aundrea cause it seems like something happened to her cause of how much trauma she had. I'm thinking something happened during season 2 of MTB 3 cause he seemed to go out of his way to break her. He kept going after her even and she got to the point she hated music. I think something traumatic happened and she was done. She even tried to quit during the MTB tour

it's becoming more and more obvious everyone in the industry knew and clearly did nothing (whether it's out of fear, indifference or uncertainty doesn't really matter), certainly the ones we've always seen hanging with him over the years. it's abominable and I hope they all eventually get exposed. their fans won't care but it'll stay attached to their names forever. this woman was literally living in HELL, potentially worse 

as stupid as it sounds "I'm plotting on how I can take Cassie away from Diddy" seriously feels very different now even in the context of that song..

It'd be interesting if Dawn's lawsuit produces witness statements or something from the other 4. Aundrea's definitely been through some stuff.

So Aubrey said this for the past 10 years, and her and some of the other girls went out to defend him because they didnt like her? but now hes a monster to her? ( we all know hes trash and I am not defending him) but why now? Why was she silent when everyone came for Cassie, calling her a liar ? 

 

I am sorry she went thru whatever shes claiming, but she denied this and try to make Aubrey looked bad so .. idk

yeah I really had a feeling something like this would come out from Dawn back when everything from Cassie's experience came out, but having a feeling doesn't make this any less harrowing  poor Dawn, I 100% believe her and hope she heals in any way possible. he deserves to be locked up for life. Dawn deserves so much better ugh

His son (who denied Cassie's claims) is now denying this too. I doubt Dawn is stupid enough to go through with this without substantial proof. He's gonna look real dumb. 

 

Also, Kalenna Harper is denying she ever saw Cassie being abused. The lawsuit says Kalenna's husband (ex?) allegedly harassed Dawn after she told him to leave him after she told her he was physically abusive.  

 

The court case is gonna be wild.
