LaFuerza Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Has she said anything about her movie and her album flopping hard? Is she going to continue promoting or is she just gonna let it die? Is she going to offer any promotions, so this project doesn't keep freefalling? Is it too late to add Bruno Mars to Happy Mistake? 2 2
Yes, AND Posted October 12 Posted October 12 12 minutes ago, Doctor Dick said: She's also prominently displayed on the DWAS artwork and ROM and Shallow and ASIB yet it was 'thank you Bruno', 'thank you Ariana', 'thank you Bradley' in all cases. Even when ASIB was a huge hit and she was in the entire movie as the lead it wasn't attributed to her but when she's got a supporting role in a bomb it's all on her. Most of your faves can't relate to having at least one hit movie and album, so I guess that's what's cooking here. She can't be too successful because it makes ATRLers mad. GAGAS FOLIE A DEUX !!!! 1

Then why are you calling her box office poison if it has to be solo to be representative? If your fave switched genres as much as you KatyKats do narratives then perhaps she wouldn't be bombing with solo original music and a studio album unlike Gaga. 13

AvadaKedavra Posted October 12 Posted October 12 But the monsters told me Gaga was TABS. Talent, Acclaim, Beauty, Success

Most if not all critical reviews said she was the best and most underutilized part of the movie. the viewers who showed up were ready to make gaga the scapegoat for it being a musical so of course they blame her. The gag is that it was Joaquin's idea and Todd's poor execution.

YALL have such short term memory. It's kinda weird. Remember how Margot flopped with Babylon? Remember how cate bombed with borderlands a month ago? How Dakota tanked with madame web? Remember cats? movies flopped grandly all the time. Edited October 12 by SUNSET BLVD

Tm4074 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Not this puling some all-time flop records. ATRL has been insisting this would be an easy smash movie since over a year ago and Wicked was going to be the flop. It seems nobody here actually knows what they're talking about. 1
UnderratedVocalist Posted October 12 Posted October 12 I'm gonna be honest. I didn't and won't watch solely because of Gaga and the fact that it's a musical (because of Gaga). And I LOVED the 1st one. Not because I'm a hater, but because I know what to expect. No shade to Gaga as an actress, but from what I've seen, her performances are always so 1-dimensional. Gaga thinks leaning her head when speaking is ground-breaking acting. Her performances always come off as pretentious, over the top and try-hard. She's a fantastic singer that excels in so many genres. I just don't think acting is for her. Maybe she should try the Musical Theater route. At least there, the musical aspect will make sense. Everything that she's done as an actress so far is always somehow linked to music, which takes away from the authenticity of the project, especially for movies like Joker. And I honestly do believe that she had influence in the decision to turn this into a musical. 7 1

Sadly, this is true. It's so blatantly obvious that her career's been hanging on by a thread (aka male singers/actors + Ariana) for years now. 3
