It might not make the budget back :rip:

It won't make the budget back at all, it's a $200M budget before marketing alone.

the film will need to make anywhere between 600-800M globally to break even.

Yes you're correct. It has absolutely no chance at being profitable, what I meant to say is that it might not even gross what it cost to make. Triple the budget of part one for maybe... 1/5 of the gross? :rip:

I was interested in this at one point but apparently it's just a boring courtroom drama, the songs don't fit and Gaga isn't in the latter half of the movie. Went from potentially seeing it in the theatres to not even planning to watch it on streaming. I even thought the trailer looked good!

Apparently they put everything worthwhile in it and there was nothing left.

I fully BLAME Todd Phillips for his disastrous decisions, but I guess this flop will give the studio free license to re-cast MarGOD, especially after Barbie's gargantuan success. :celestial2:

Oh, wow. Oh, wow.

And to think she more than likely thought she would get her own spin-off movie, believing this one would be a huge WW success.

75M + 45M ... that would be around 120M WW on opening weekend. Yeah...this may not even reach 400M as i mentioned. The previous one did over a billion :rip:

Oh wow it is a bomb.

Glad Gaga already moved on with new era tho.

A multimillion budget for the movie, an equally high promotion budget, and the two main actors of the project have been promoting the film non-stop and giving interviews to every single outlet out there.

In return, word of mouth is absolutely terrible, and critics reviews are in the pits.

If predictions are correct, this will be an historical critical and comercial bomb.

I don't think so. The legs of a film is determined by word of mouth and audience/critic scores (and those are awful). This will burn out very quickly because the talk around the film is very negative hence less people will want to see it. Plus, you have to remember the first film did 250M opening weekend and the budget was 150M less :rip:

So Joker 2 indeed is a major flop. Next week is going to be even more tragic :rip:

Edit: remember also that this film needs 570M to BREAK EVEN, so even if it does 500M that's still a flop because the budget and marketing is so huge.
