The 5 star reviews just say "Great film! Definitely the best movie experience of 2024! I recommend seeing it in IMAX!"…and then that's it. If you click on their profile, it's the only thing they've reviewed. Every review where someone is saying something of substance (aka they're just a film fan who likes writing reviews and has actually seen it) is scathing. Oh Monsters…

It's really good

iiswhoiis_max Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I don't get these threads. It is not even out yet? Oct 4th right? But at the same time I don't care. I will be watching

Essentially presales have been abysmal showing lack of interest so they're continuing to lower the prediction because presales aren't picking up even getting close to release date. There is no 100% certainty though so it could always over perform or do even worse. Edited October 1 by Gaia 1

Matthew Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I know OGHs will disagree but I think news of Gaga's diminished role has had an impact on some of the audience's interest. I'm not saying she was necessary for it to be a success, but her addition has been responsible for a fair amount of the hype. First the news that it's a musical, then the mixed reviews (with none of the controversy of the first movie), and now this? I can't see it making even 1/3 of Joker's gross. In the words of Grace, RELEASE THE GAGA CUT 4 4
MistressKay Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I saw it last night. The movie was DREADFUL! I wanted to leave so bad but was at the premiere lol 3

Phaunzie Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Since I'm not gonna watch, (I hate musicals), how good is it girls?
QueenB Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I saw it last night and it was shockingly bad. I enjoyed the first film, but half of the scenes in the trailers for Gaga arent even in the film. This is the director's fault 4 1
