nostalgia Posted September 9 Posted September 9 From Adams being announced to both star and produce back in the summer of 2020, the premise alone garnered chatter about a potential seventh Oscar nomination for the actress, who was most recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2019 for "Vice." It's also worth noting, three out of four of the last Best Actress winners have also been from Searchlight Pictures films. However, for Adams "it's not something I think about when I approach a role or when I walk on a red carpet," she told IndieWire. "I'm always happy if the film connects in a way that increases exposure for the film. I think with this film, I would love to hear different people's perspectives of their experience watching this film. So the more that we can get it out there to get more eyes on it, the happier I'll be." https://www.indiewire.com/news/general-news/amy-adams-oscar-nominations-not-something-i-think-about-1235045151/ 2
Popular Post popmusicisdead Posted September 9 Popular Post Posted September 9 clearly The Oscars don't think about her either because they didn't even nominate her for her best role a.k.a Arrival. 11 4
Achilles. Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Considering the state of her career recently it's probably best for her mental health that she doesn't. 4 3
JustHoran Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I'm glad because these awards really don't matter at all. She's a big, respected actress who does great movies. 2 1
modeblock Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Good, legend doesn't need to worry about awards or catering to The Academy's taste. That's for the desperate, less talented girlies.
midnightdawn Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I wish actors would just say "I want to win an Oscar!" instead of the verbal gymnastics they perform in trying to appear disinterested in them. It's like when they say "I had no clue I would be nominated. I slept in and was confused when I woke up about why I had 15 missed calls!" when they just had spent months campaigning for it. 3 4

OnlyManInTheWorld Posted September 9 Posted September 9 It feels like everything deteriorated for her after „Arrival" snub. She deserved the Oscar for that. 1
ICLDXU4HS Posted September 9 Posted September 9 The conversation and dramatics around her is so weird to me. Like, what is it that warrants these strong opinions and malice around Amy Adams of all people. 2
