I always assumed she low key automatically got the job - her as Glinda makes a ton of sense: musical theater background & she's got a big fanbase. Why is Jon Chu acting like this was unthinkable?

I love her and I'm so glad she was cast, but every time I see Dove Cameron, I think "god she looks like Kristen Chenoweth…"

 

But I wouldn't change the casting for the world. I'm so excited to see it.

This movie looks so good. I love this type of high budget fantasy movies and theyre so rare today.  
I love her acting too. I underplayed her cause her nickelodeon acting was a mess but she really served here  Mini Gaga

It's funny that people thing she automatically got the job because she's who she is where I think that would've been one of the reasons why she wouldn't get it. I feel like when making this film of such a big sensation they were not gonna do any quick casting job or cast a big star - I knew whoever was in charge would go through a lot. Yeah she probably got a slight advantage cause of her status but I think if she was truly horrible she would never. I think she probably was perfect for the role. 

 

I'm also saying this neither as a fan or hater of her

It's funny how people were saying she got the role off of her name, but in reality her persona almost stopped her from getting her the role, proved by how they were actually unsure about casting her despite being as amazing (as they say she was) on the casting auditions

She wanted this so bad and all her hard work has been so evident. And she's already causing so many people who complained about her casting and doubted her when it was announced to switch up.

I'm not one of those who grew up watching Victorious or Cat &Sam, but I somehow have such a deep nostalgic feeling towards Ariana's acting

I sincerely hope this movie is good and does great, box office wise
