They spread homophobia which hurts their own community, which is disgusting, yes, but they were probably raised with the mindset their whole life that they are disgusting for something they literally can't control and they can't cope with the homophobia of peers and their magical sky daddy, so they act in secret like this after years of suppression. You think a gay Orban ally who goes to orgies as a priest has any shame in him? No, he doesn't even believe in the stuff he preaches, it's all an act and he felt safe in his circle to do it so openly. Maybe it's a case by case basis, I don't know…I'm gay and I was raised religious, thought I was genuinely straight up until like 14, luckily around the same time LGBT rights became more mainstream and I was able to meet more people like me. When my parents found out I wanted to commit suicide…the feelings are so dark and hard to explain. I even had a teacher at my PUBLIC SCHOOL who told other students I wasn't really gay and doing it for attention.
