Popular Post Talento Posted September 4 Popular Post Posted September 4 Quote Did Katy Perry bonk her head inside the Goop store? Too many Ayurvedic enema cleanses and energy-healing retreats is my best guess as to why she's singing about "divine feminine" and acting so blissfully out of touch. On Wednesday's episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked Perry about her controversial decision to stage her comeback with disgraced producer Dr. Luke. It's a question everyone's been wondering, given the irony of making a "feminist" anthem with an alleged rapist. (Kesha accused Dr. Luke — who worked on some of Perry's biggest hits — of drugging and sexual assault in 2014. He countersued for defamation; they settled their protracted legal battle last year.) "Look, I understand that it started a lot of conversations," Perry says. "He was one of many collaborators that I collaborated with," she added, minimizing his role before redirecting the conversation to herself. "But the reality is, it comes from me. The truth is, I wrote these songs from my experience of my whole life going through this metamorphosis." There's more. "I am speaking from my own experience. When I speak about 'Woman's World,' I speak about feeling so empowered now as a mother, as a woman, giving birth, creating life, creating another set of organs, a brain, a heart — I created a whole-ass heart!" she continues. This response is the best proof I have that Perry writes her own lyrics. It's a whole lot of gibberish — just like her songs. https://www.thecut.com/article/what-has-katy-perry-said-about-working-with-dr-luke.html 18

Arthoe Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Damn Spoiler I know Katy getting lashings are well overdue because of her decision to collab with Puke again, but somehow I can't help but feel sorry for her. Genuinely. I think this might be the last time we see her for a LONG time, and it is kind of sad that it is ending on such a sour note. It's of her own making for sure, I guess but still. She's maneuvering herself from one PR disaster into another, desperately trying to capture her old glory, the visuals look like they'd be viral in 2010 (and 2010 only), the songs are not connecting. I wish she would have stayed on the path that she took on with NRO. Even Harleys in Hawaii was pretty good, they seemed like a genuine evolution. These songs were showing off facets of Katy, that I personally hadn't seen before and I was really appreciating. 11

Do you ever feel like a punching bag Walking through the streets, wanting to smash again? Do you ever feel, like a flop when you sing Like a house of fads, one bomb from cavin' in? Do you ever feel like your career has passed? Almost zero streams, no one seems to hear a thing Do you know that there's still a chance for you? If you work with Luke You just gotta ignite the light And let it shine Just own that you're working with rapists Like those actions are justifed 12
