Showing up every 4 years for the election for the highest office to collect cheques and handful of votes from equally unserious people is not a strategy of a party that actually wants to govern and improve something. What do they do successfully? Quickly. 11 minutes ago, Pikachoo said: she spilled. Jill Stein is a vanity project. she only comes out for the election every 4 years then disappears. do they even have down ballot candidates? even the libertarian party does that I get American elections laws are heavily convoluted that even your average American can't fully keep up, let alone then non-Americans, but repeating DNC-approved talking points in unison betrays the actual reality of what you're trying to argue. The Green Party is always going to run a presidential candidate because there are many states where you cannot have access to the ballot for even state-level races as an official party if you have failed to run a candidate for positions like the president or governor in the last-occurring race. It's jarring to begin with that AOC doesn't seem to know Jill Stein wasn't the Green Party nominee in 2020, but even worse she doesn't acknowledge ballot access laws. "Don't run for higher office, focus first on hyper-local elections" ignores that the Green Party largely runs a presidential candidate to maintain ballot access for downballot races in many states, including the downballot races literally being run this year. Or that having a national slate is required to ensure people who aren't part of the state parties don't try and hijack their party line on the ballot, as occurred in the past. Democrats literally sued Greens in Arizona to remove a Native activist from the Green Party ticket and ran their own Democrat on the Green Party line for Senate in Arizona 2016.

Bernie Sanders was literally not be a senator if he did not run against the Democratic Party in Vermont. Liberals spent 2016-2020 saying Bernie is not a Dem and hurts the party? DAP Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Glad she is chiming in. That should let Jill's team know that if they want an even less serious campaign, they can always refer to AOC for advice.
