What about the other members? It's also their band and their career.

Of course and Mike did have a huge career outside Linkin Park so just rename the damn band it's not difficult, they can still perform old songs

Also bands that don't have the lead singer anymore never do well especially the ones that had such a huge lead

FYI, that's not a rumour because that poster is reliable, so that's true.

I'm hoping this is an unreleased track versus them replacing Chester as a vocalist. It would feel really disrespectful and would be a worse move than how Crystal Castles and Flyleaf changed their lead singers.

The only time changing the lead singer ever really worked somewhat was when Melissa replaced Avril but her music was never the same after.

I love linkin park and they played a huge role in my music taste growing up in the 2000s but it time to give it up. No vocalist will ever live up to Chester. He played such a massive cultural impact and brand for the band. The moment he passed away it was the moment the band had to say there good bye for the band too. I don't understand what Mike and the others are thinking. They need to create themselves as a new band that doesn't use the name linkin park or everyone need to just go there separate ways. There is a reason why David grohl  the creator of foo fighters simply didn't continue with nirvana or attempted after Kurt cobain death.

This honestly just feels in poor taste.

I agree and it feels like a slap in the face to Chester, his family/friends, and the fans whose lives were both touched and saved by him. Absolutely repulsive behavior to spit on his grave like this and I hope everyone boycotts it and refuses to go to any shows if they decide to tour with a new vocalist.

I just saw. That there is a rumor that they might be going with a female vocalist for there reunion tour. We see if it works out. Assuming the rumor is true. I guess this the best they can come up with without having the new vocalist compared to Chester.

That seems a little more tactful but it still pisses me off and I'm not going to give my money to that. If they donate a percentage of ticket sales to suicide prevention then maybe I'd come around to the idea but for now it still seems like a slap in the face to Chester. I get that the rest of the band most likely needs money given that it's been ages since they've been on the road or put out an album but they don't need to go this route. I just don't know how I feel about this whole concept given that Linkin Park really saved my life throughout middle and high school and they're still a band I frequently listen to for comfort.

They should just create a new band.

Imagine if The Cranberries had replaced Dolores, it just wouldn't work

Girl what? This aint nothig new, they actually waited along time, this wasnt a overnight thing. Alot of bands replace band members after they died, Alice in chain comes to mind.

Ot: i havent listened yet but im watching their yt stream and shes doing a really good job covering the songs

Yeah, this slaps. It's still a bit weird to hear LP in a new voice tho but I think I'll get used to it.
